Adeline Johnson, a Cal Berkeley-bound senior at Ross Branson High in California, took third in the elite section of the girls 1,600 meters in a personal-best 4:56.94 at the Dublin Distance Fiesta at Gaels Stadium in Dublin, Calif. Johnson also finished fifth in the top section of the 3,200 meters in a lifetime-best 10:39.76. Johnson is one of five prep female athletes currently in California to have run under 2:15 in the 800, sub-5 in the 1,600 and faster than 10:40 in the 3,200, along with Scotts Valley's Ashlyn Boothby, Ventura's Sadie Engelhardt and Buchanan teammates Grace Hutchison and Elle Lomeli.
