Cate Joaquin, a Georgetown-bound senior at St. Francis High of Sacramento, finished fifth in the elite section of the girls 1,600 meters in a pesonal-best 4:53.54 at the 13th Dublin Distance Fiesta at Dublin High in California. It marked the first track race in nearly a calendar year for Joaquin, who improved on her previous-best 4:54.79 from June 2020.
